21 May A “Moisturizing” Hand Sanitizer (Finally!)
We are all washing our hands more than ever these days, right?
According to the CDC, one of the best ways to protect against COVID-19 and other illnesses is to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Do you have a song you sing while you wash? The chorus to Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” is always fun!
The CDC says that if soap and water are not available, we should use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. They advise that we cover all surfaces of our hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
With Texas reopening, my family and I are cautiously venturing out. But staying safe remains our top priority, especially with a 6 month old grandbaby. We need to wash our hands, of course, but we also need hand sanitizer when we are out in public.
Typical hand sanitizers dry out my skin, and with the amount that I’m washing my hands and using sanitizer, my hands are taking a beating! That’s why I love Shaklee’s new formulated Get Clean® Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer with plant-based moisturizers. I can trust it will protect me from viruses while also keeping my skin soft and protected.
Shaklee always does their research.
The Get Clean® Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer has been proven to kill 99.99% of germs and bacteria including: E. Coli, Salmonella, Staph, Candida, A. Niger. It has not been tested on the COVID-19 virus directly, but it will help protect your health by reducing other bacteria and fungus that are commonly found in public places.
It exceeds CDC recommendations.
Get Clean® Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer exceeds the CDC’s recommendations for percent alcohol content in hand sanitizer. It has not been directly approved by the CDC but aligns with or exceeds all agency recommendations for alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Please see here for more information on the benefits of both handwashing and alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
The good news is that this product is IN STOCK! I have heard from friends and family around the U.S. who still can’t find hand sanitizer in local stores. I just talked yesterday with a Shaklee family member in Michigan who told me that there is still no hand sanitizer on the shelf in any of the stores near him. He was thrilled to hear about how quickly Shaklee created this product. Shaklee always comes through.
If you have any questions about using safe green cleaning products or sharing them with others, I’m always here to help.
